2019 IEN User Science and Engineering Review (USER) Day

The Georgia Tech Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology (IEN) will be hosting its annual User Science and Engineering Review (USER) Day on Friday, September 6th, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Marcus Nanotechnology Building. This special event will provide an opportunity to learn about the latest research activities of fellow students, as well as external academic and industry research organizations, that use our facilities. This venue will also offer a great opportunity to share a glimpse of your work with the interdisciplinary audience in attendance.

IEN is pleased to host as keynote speaker 2019 Meindl Lecturer Julia Greer, Professor of Materials Science, Mechanics, and Medical Engineering at CalTech, who will speak on “Materials by Design: Three-Dimensional (3D) Nano-Architected Meta-Materials”.

USER Day will also include three oral presentations from IEN users chosen via abstract submission, as well as two user poster sessions, with a $100 prize awards to each of three outstanding poster presenters. Users are highly encouraged to attend, and to submit a poster.

Users who wish to be considered for an oral presentation should submit a 1-paragraph abstract (no more then 250 words and 1-2 figures) describing their research activities using IEN facilities. Abstracts must include a title, and authors with affiliations. Oral presentation applications should also plan to present their material via poster. Please submit abstracts to amy.duke@ien.gatech.edu by the August 21, 2019st.

Deadline for registration for the event, and for poster session participation, is August 30, 2019.
